Ukulele Ensemble with Danny Wootton and drummer Tom Fyfe 

Dates: A six-week course, from Tuesday 22 May to Tuesday 3 July, with a break on Tuesday 12 June

Time: 8.00 – 9.15pm

Location: The Betsey Trotwood, 56 Farringdon Rd, Clerkenwell, London EC1R 3BL

This six week course is for those intrepid ukulele adventurers who have graduated from Beginners and Intermediate Ukulele (or those who have acquired similar ukulele skills elsewhere). Your teacher Danny Wootton will find parts for you to play which are commensurate with your level of skill.

Ukulele ensemble focuses on playing together as a band. You will also learn a bit about arranging music and song writing. We will concentrate on improving playing as a group. We’ll focus on playing different parts, rhythms and scales, including jazz rhythms.

*Please note you will need your own ukulele to attend this course. Please do purchase one in advance. We recommend Makala as a good entry level uke, or anything by KALA. the Duke of Uke is the best uke shop in London and offers ukes mail order. Otherwise your local music shop will help

About the

Danny Wootton is a musician and artist who plays in the Sometimes and Forever Band. In the past he has played with Razorlight and Jesus Licks among others. He has been running the Idler Academy’s ukulele programme since March 2011.
