Danny Goffey and his band headline the Idler Christmas Party 2018.
Drummer, songwriter and indie legend Danny Goffey of Supergrass fame has been writing and recording since the age of nine. Now he’s back with a fantastic new album Schtick!.
Written and performed by Danny, Schtick! also features Suede’s Brett Anderson, Rialto’s Louis Eliot and Insecure Men’s Marley Mackey. It’s energetic, cynical and fun. Think Ian Dury meets Talking Heads with smatterings of Bolan, Bowie and Costello thrown in the mix – and no subject matter is off limits.
Danny and his band will be supported by the immensely talented reggae singer Zoe Devlin Love, previously lead vocalist of Alabama 3. Says the Guardian, Zoe is “A pocket size diva with a voice like a 10k rig”. She’ll be playing songs from her forthcoming solo album Noradrenaline.
Our DJ for the night is Youth of Killing Joke fame. He’ll be playing dancehall vibes into the night.
The fun will take place at the luxuriously appointed Bush Hall in west London. Your ticket price includes a 15% discount on pre-party dinner at the next door Bush Diner.
Early Bird tickets now available. Be there or be square, hep cats.
