We’ve teamed up with the National Trust’s Fenton House to bring you a three day festival of loafing in July
Michael Palin is headlining, and there will be talks from anarchist David Graeber on “bullshit jobs”, Sally Phillips on the scourge of utilitarianism, a presentation on the latest medical research into psychedelic drugs, QI’s John Lloyd, Geoff Dyer on his life in writing, as well as calligraphy, ukulele and philosophy classes, local walks with Oldie editor Harry Mount and historian Matthew Green, and a host of other delights.
Football fans won’t have to miss out on the World Cup during the festival. The finals will be shown at The Flask, five minutes potter down the road from Fenton House.
Tickets are priced at £90 for three days, £35 for the Friday and £45 for the Saturday or Sunday.
