Intermediate Ukulele Course with Danny Wootton

Dates: Monday 23rd September to Monday 28th October.

Our Intermediate Ukulele Course is suitable for ukulele players who have qualified with an “Idler Beginners Ukulele Diploma”, or else have some basic knowledge of the instrument.

You will learn how to play barre chords and thus all the chords, and learn to understand better the relationship between chords and positions on the fretboard. You will also learn about chord inversions, improve on your tabulature reading skills and get to grips with more complex rhythms.
 

In addition we will study song-writing and song structure and we will work on arrangements of songs involving different parts for different members of the group. Michael Tyack of Circulus and Musica 432, who will give insights into baroque ukulele and the art of Minstrelsy

Danny Wootton plays in the Sometimes and Forever Band. In the past he has played in a number of bands including The Penguin Cafe Orchestra.
