Following the storming success of the Idler’s Academy at Port Eliot, we are pleased to announce that we are running a second term. This time we are guests at the Curiouser Gathering 2010: Back to Albion, a small music and crafts festival in the grounds of Berry Pomeroy Castle near Totnes in Devon. It takes place on 3-5 September.

I’m talking at a lovely small festival organised by my niece Henny Seymour at Berry Pomeroy castle near Totnes in Devon. Inspired by Alice’s Adventure’s in Wonderland, it is called Curiouser and Curiouser. The festival takes place from Friday 18 September to Sunday 20th, and tickets cost a mere £15. There are loads of bands including the very excellent Melodica, The Melody and Me. Click here for more details.
The new 'Back to the Land' issue features a major interview with David Hockney who has also contributed two sketches. Essayists include Paul Kingsnorth, Harry Mount, Penny Rimbaud, Jay Griffiths and Simon Fairlie,.

The Idler is an annual, book-shaped magazine that campaigns against the work ethic. It was founded in 1993 by Tom Hodgkinson and his friend Gavin Pretor-Pinney.
