Starring Alan Moore, Stewart Lee, Josie Long, Steve Aylett, Robin Ince, Jeff Vandermeer, Andrew O’Neill, Leila Johnston, D Harlan Wilson, Vessel (David Devant), Mitzi Szereto, Bill Ectric and others, LINT THE MOVIE documents the life and work of cult SF author and philosopher Jeff Lint, creator of some of the strangest and most inconvenient works of the 20th century.

Steve Aylett's Lint The Movie

Featuring clips from Lint’s books, cartoons, music, comics and films, the movie follows Lint’s life from the days of vintage pulp, through psychedelia to his disastrous scripts for Star Trek and Patton. Newly discovered archive footage and recordings of Lint himself, and commentary by those who knew and read him, results in a compelling portrait of the creator of Clowns and Insects, Jelly Result, The Stupid Conversation, the Caterer comic, and Catty and the Major, the scariest kids’ cartoon ever aired. Based on Aylett’s books LINT and And Your Point Is?

Before the screening of this almost-zero-budget film there will be a short stand-up set from ROBIN INCE, and Aylett himself will give a brief intro. After the screening, a short Q&A and perhaps bitter retribution. Aylett books and Lint paraphernalia (including CATERER comics) will be on sale.

LINT THE MOVIE teaser

Lint stuff.

Steve Aylett is the author of SF/satire books including Novahead, Slaughtermatic, The Complete Accomplice, Rebel at the End of Time, Smithereens and LINT. He also performs stand-up and makes comics like The Caterer and Get That Thing Away From Me. Alan Moore has described him as “The most original and most consciousness-altering living writer in the English language, not to mention one of the funniest.” He has also been described as “utterly original” (SFX), “an unstoppable master of space and time” (Asimov’s), and “the most original voice on the literary scene,” (Michael Moorcock). LINT THE MOVIE is Aylett’s first film.
