I grew up in this shithole, and the only one thing that stands in it’s defence is the sheer amount of pubs that seem to have bred in this dark and somewhat moist part of Britain. We have a teenage pub, an Ikea pub, a smashed-windows-at-all-times pub and hey, a Rockers pub too. The fact that this place has spawned three secondary schools is a mystery to me……..the 14 stabbings a night is not.
