The 18th century coffeehouse was a haven of conviviality.

It is in this tradition that we conceived our own Idler Coffeehouse in 21st Century London. We wanted to create a truly convivial, bookish café, the kind of place where you will strike up conversations about Nancy Mitford or Oscar Wilde with complete strangers. We serve Monmouth coffee, fine teas, home-made cakes and cream teas. We can cater for parties, book launches and film shoots. You can also book a table in advance. We have a small medieval garden which seats up to 16 people.

Venue Hire

Our shop can be hired for private events and shoots. As well as the main shop floor and garden, we have a cosy basement and a kitchen. Please email victoria@idler.co.uk for a quote.
