The 18th century coffeehouse was a haven of conviviality.

It is in this tradition that we conceived our own Idler Coffeehouse in 21st Century London. We wanted to create a truly convivial, bookish café, the kind of place where you will strike up conversations about Nancy Mitford or Oscar Wilde with complete strangers. We serve Monmouth coffee, fine teas, home-made cakes and cream teas. We can cater for parties, book launches and film shoots. You can also book a table in advance. We have a small medieval garden ~ The Idler’s Grove. It seats up to 16 people and can also be hired.
